About Me - All that I am |

- I am 9 year 11 month old boy, and one of a set of fraternal twins, born in Richmond, VA. Name of my other sibling(sister) is Disha.
- I was very easy to take care of as an infant; I learned walking at 11 months. My parents noticed language delay when I was about 1 year, but my careless pediatrician was absolutely clueless.
- Dr. Pasquale Accardo ( Developmental Pediatrician, c/o VCU Health Systems) diagnosed me with Autism when I was 2 year and 6 months old.
- My parents tried Gluten Free – Casein Free (GFCF) diet for 6 months in year 2004 and it did not work. Till date, My parents have tried in numerous fields (Biomedical treatment, Homeopathy, Ayruvedic Medicine, Pranic Healing, Reiki, Acupressure and many others) to help me get out of from “my own world”. And it didn’t work.
- I am attending private special education school viz. Faison School for Autism in Richmond, VA where my progress is very slow. My daily schedule at school is comprised of ABA Therapy(Applied Behavior Analysis), Occupational Therapy and Speech Therapy.
- My parents are highly educated, my dad has MS degree in Computer Science and my mother has MS Degree in Physics. The research says that parents of the child with Autism are usually highly educated.
- Mostly I do not exhibit any behaviors ( once a while it would be exception); it is just that I would like to live in my own world.
- I am expert and smarter than all my normal age appropriate peers in creating mess. I am also able to act out with crocodile tears and by smiling. I love to hang out with other kids but I define my own rules such as I will stay with them but will not play with them.

- Once in a while, I display temper tantrum behavior; only difference between my age appropriate peers tantrum behavior and my temper tantrum behavior will be that as usual I will not respond to any normal commands and I will be extremely difficult to control. Again this is a once a while.
- I display many characteristics of God, but I am not God yet..
- My parents/teacher/doctor keep requesting me but I will act like a statue of God.
- Forgiveness is hard wired in my brain. So I usually forget someone’s anger, my peer’s hateness, my famiy friend’s ignorance towards me.
- Have you seen God speaking ? Ofcourse not , and by the way I am also non-verbal.
- Historically, like all other Gods and Goddess; I am deeply affectionate with my mother.
- Sometime, I display miracleous behavior better I do not tell about it because any way you are going to laugh on it.

FYI : The word "Dev" is a Sanskrit word and its meaning is God. What a irony ? And that's what All I Am..
